Regardless of whether you are a Home Handyman, a Tradesman, getting married or just having a party, hiring what you need, when you need it makes sense. Without having to shell out big bucks, you’ll get access to our top quality equipment when you need it, and for as long as you want it.
Great gear, well maintained
We only use top quality, brand new equipment that we know will last the distance. Brands like Husqvarna, Makita and Stihl, which have all stood the test of time. Breakdowns are an unnecessary hassle to both you and us, so we strive to ensure our equipment is always well maintained and ready to go when you need it.
Hiring what you need makes good business sense. All equipment hire is tax deductible (if it’s a legitimate business expense) and you won’t need to tie up money in equipment that might only get used periodically. You will never have the hassle with long term storage. You don’t need to worry about maintenance and cleaning, because we’ll take care of that too. It’s always nice to grab some equipment and know that it will do the job when you want it too.
We are upfront with our pricing. We list pricing for all our equipment, so you’ll know what it costs if you have to submit a quote for a project. If you need the equipment for more than a few days, talk to Grant or Karine about prices for extended-hires. We can also accept order numbers so that you can charge equipment back to specific jobs and projects.
The Harrison family have been in Wanganui for over 80 years. We grew up here, and the business has steadily grown from humble beginnings 40 years ago.
With a great location in 26 Churton Street, we’re nice and central, saving you travel time and money. Often hiring the right equipment allows you to get the job done quickly, without hassle so that’s why we offer a unique two-hour hire on most of our equipment.
Hiring is easy
All we need is some form of photo identification, such as a NZ Driver’s Licence. For first time hirer’s we require a refundable bond, the amount of the bond will vary depending on what you’re hiring, the duration of the hire, and your trading record with us. We’ll put your details in the computer system, which makes it easier for any future hires, and then you’re away laughing. If you feel you are going to need your equipment a bit longer, please remember to give us a call as some items may be in heavy demand.
Opening an account
If you’re a Tradesman, and think you’ll be hiring frequently, then it may be easier and quicker to open an account with us. Simply download the Account Application Form, complete the details and send back to us, allowing a couple of business days for us to set you up in our computer system.
Conditions of Hire and Insurance
Insurance is included on all hired equipment, providing the hirer with limited protection from damage or loss of hired equipment. Expressly excluded from the insurance are loss or damage as defined as:
– Mysterious Disappearance
– Theft – through the hirer failing to take elementary precautions to protect the equipment.
Daily checks including maintaining fuel, oil or grease and water levels are the hirers responsibility. Fuel, Gas, Oil and consumables are extra. Prices include GST and Insurance – Prices subject to change without notice –
